Spring Events

Spring is my favorite season, and I've got some fun events coming up that I wanted to let you know about:

Seattle Urban Farm Co. x Ecolibrium Plant Sale

I'll be providing several buckets of bouquets and some sweet pea and scabiosa plant starts for Seattle Urban Farm Co. x Ecolibrium's Plant Sale in Redmond this coming Saturday, 4/26 from 10am-2pm.

Now is a great time to get sweet peas in the ground, and if you didn't start them in time, plant starts are a great way to go. I have a few trays of beefy babes that I started outside in January, so they are hardy plants. They will have them available at the sale.

I've been growing sweet peas, tomatoes, and other climbing plants on the Seattle Urban Farm Co.'s Freyr Trellises (pictured above) for the past couple years, and love how easy they are to install, grow on, and clean up. I literally just cut out the strings, roll up the plants, and chuck them into the compost when the season is over. They'll be selling the trellises at the sale as well, if you wanted to check them out.

Flower Growing and Seed Starting Class at UW

I am so excited to host this in-person flower growing and seed starting class on Saturday, May 10th from 10am-12pm, where you will be guided through planning a cut garden space, starting seeds at home, harvesting flowers and foliage, and the basics of arranging. Plus, we’ll practice planting some summer-loving flowers for you to take home! Hope to see you there.
